I wrote Gypsy Nights 10 years ago. I was interested in trecording
the mandolin and electric guitar on an original instrumental
song, bringing together two styles of music that normally don't
go together. The idea was to blend a Carlos Santana style of
lead guitar with a Gypsy Kings Latin feel with the mandolin. The
song came together very quickly and is one of the best songs
that I have ever written. I think this song would work well as a
soundtrack for some sort of music video, surf movie, video game,
etc. This song will be performed for the first time in public
this summer (2007) by:
